Continuing the success of Joseph Joseph’s Duo range, Studio17 were commissioned to expand the offering into cleaning and organisational products. As with the other Duo products, the remit was to retain the same functional innovations of the brand’s core range, whilst offering the product at a more accessible price point.

Studio17’s best-selling Extend dish drainer was reimagined with the wire plate holder moulded directly into the plastic as functional prongs, whilst the closable spout was reworked as a simple fixed spout that is easy to clean, without any hidden dirt traps. Reduced to just 3 parts, the product retains all the adjustability that makes the original product resonate with consumers.

A new slimline draining mat retains the same controlled drainage of the flume range, yet is shaped specifically to accommodate at least 8 glasses, or items which are too delicate for a dishwasher.

The Hybrid drainer combines the best elements of both, offering the same self-draining feature as Extend, but with a universal plate section, and a glass drying area in one compact, storable product.

To maximise palletisation and subsequently minimise shipping costs, the removable cutlery pot features drainage holes that allow it nest down sideways in the drainer, resulting in a far smaller shipping state, without compromising functionality.

A shared ‘soft’ aesthetic with generous under-body radii and reduces the visual bulk of the products, allowing them to hang together as a range. Each product’s price points allow Joseph Joseph to deliver their innovations into new, price-driven retailers around the world.
