Why do all folding chairs look utilitarian? This exploration shows how a folding chair can have the elegance of a classic dining chair, whilst still folding down with the convenience of a deck-chair.

A simple bent plywood base and backrest is supported by pivoting powder coated steel legs. The scissoring legs brace the seat base in use, yet allow it to pivot downwards for storage.
