With the increase in vulnerable micro mobility type vehicles on our roads, Studio17 worked with HiloEV to develop the IRIS (Intelligent Road Illumination System), to improve their safety.

The system consists of a perimeter illumination ring, which can be used to display indication and braking signals. Small cameras feed an Ai processing engine to detect the proximity of other road users, with the IRIS lighting reacting when proximity becomes dangerously close. The system is design to be retrofitted to the existing fleets of vehicles and their panier boxes.

The system is being trialled with operators such as Royal Mail, Deliveroo, and the Baku eBike scheme.
