More info

Having developed a number of Dishracks for Joseph Joseph, Studio 17 identified an opportunity for a high capacity dishrack with a small footprint, taking advantage of vertical space, for those with little drainage space around the sink.

The general layout is the result of extensive trials with glasses, plates, cutlery and utensils, to find the optimum arrangement within a set footprint. It was found that supporting glasses on an upper level would be too unsafe, and that plates could be held far more consistently with a simple wire ‘Y’, profile, hence the product name.

The wings that form the wire rack can support plates or other large cookware.  The space below the rack is accessible for smaller items like glasses and mugs.

The wire rack form was designed for efficient packaging and is simply pushed into the body upon setup. A cutlery pot and retaining clip brace the rack once installed, meaning the rack stays strong even under a full load.

The cutlery pot hangs outboard of the base to maximise capacity, but drains back into base and out of the spout.

As a taller dishrack, the wire work had to remain elegant enough so as not to be overbearing, but provide maximum functionality and strength. The simple geometric base is designed for maximum capacity, whilst tying into the rest of the Joseph Joseph range.

Efficient tooling, packaging and material use have helped drive a competitive retail price for such functionality.

Available in two colours and sold worldwide.
